Shyzer.com was purchased in 2002 via Go Daddy and for over three years has been hosted by Quickpacket. I highly recommend both.
I used to have a lot more content on here. There’s was a list of all the video games I’d ever beaten and a list of 100 random facts about myself (bastard child!). I remember a page dedicated to the numerous games my siblings and I created while growing up. I had a Starring Cast page with a short bio of everybody I used to talk about in my posts. I had a portion dedicated to making fun of the Ready.gov site when it first premiered. Some of you may remember the photo gallery or the message boards. I had a cam that was rarely updated and a tag-board that was frequently spammed. Poems, song lyrics, baseball predictions, short stories, and God knows what else.
That’s all vanished now. It’s just me, the comments, and the archives now. Much of what you’ll find back there are posts that make no sense or were written with the assumption that the reader knew everybody I was writing about. That was great for anybody who fit the category, but it was a horrible idea for scalability and longevity.
Long story short, reading through my archives can be painful for anybody who doesn’t know me or who isn’t interested in stalking me. Sorry about that.
Oh yeah, and the categories I use here are kinda random at best! I could write the exact same post three different times and I’d probably categorize it differently each time. So…there’s that to work with.
Some of the software used to create Shyzer include Wordpress and about 15 free plugins. Many of the icons are part of the Silk package, which is available for free from Fam Fam Fam. When updating this lovely site on my Mac, I use Taco HTML, CSSEdit, and Transmit FTP to mash together random bits of code. When on my desktop running XP, I simply use Notepad and CuteFTP.
This is currently the 4th layout Shyzer has ever seen. Screenshots of all the previous themes are below, but I warn you in advance: They are just as bad, if not worse, than this one.
