I just watched it! And it was excellent, and deeply stimulating as all TED talks are. Thanks very much for encouraging it Goob.

"If you're not prepared to be wrong you'll never come up with anything original." —Sir Ken Robinson

He didn't speak at all about the savage irony of his theme, of educating for creativity. How does a system encourage something entirely new and inherently outside the system? Almost impossible by definition. Almost.

His funniest line was no less charming for being borrowed:

"If a man speaks his mind in a forest and no woman hears him, is he still wrong?" —Sir Ken Robinson quoting a t-shirt

I totally agree with you! No, wait, you're wrong! Seriously it's fascinating how the mental immune system works, or could work better. It's hard work to use an idea that's got an ounce of novel and a pound of loony. Not that I'm so good discriminating anyway.

I really liked your comment on Matt Harding's latest blog entry. And the link to the TED talk, will watch that later (aren't they amazing).

And weren't those notes from Matt's mailbag stunning??!

This makes me sad. It makes me think i have maybe been one of these ppl who was in their own little group and ignored the rest of the ppl in the forums. You never think about these things till you forced to look at it and the possibilities that maybe you (me) are the one that did this. I also feel sad because i may have said something stupid or upsetting and someone who may have had something to say in response felt they couldn't say anything back. We most definitly have to fix that..i think on everyones part. I honestly don't think ppl realize they do what they do.....
