Hoy es manana
January 2nd, 2006 at 06:14 pmI’ve been trying to teach myself Spanish by watching TV with the SAP setting on. I’ve got no damn idea what they’re saying, but I figure after ten or twenty years of this, I’ll be able to follow along.

I guess we’re both trying to learn spanish! I’ve tried watching tv that way also and it drives me crazy. Maybe if I had the show memorized in English it would help first.

You know, that probably would make things easier for us. As of now, all I can make out is “por favor” and “que.”

I just like how the post is titled “Today Is Tommorow”.
I would have went with, “Yo soy muy largo en los pantalones.”

The “hoy es manana” bit is what I used as my default answer on any Spanish test. Drove the teachers nuts.
And not in the good way you want to be driving women nuts.

See, I used to do that.
Technically speaking… I was forced into it.
I had this big, football playing Korean friend (odd, I know) who swore up and down that if he subjected me to hours of creepy Korean game shows, I’d be able to communicate with he and his mother and the dinner table. Needless to say, THAT didn’t happen.
