During the last 48 hours, I’ve developed a massive outbreak of poison ivy. I can hardly move without itching like crazy and I know damn well where I contracted it too, which means tomorrow I’m going outside with a blowtorch and taking down half an acre of woodland and woodland creatures if necessary.

Of course, photos of the cool looking blisters and the story on how I managed to brush my entire body up against a poison ivy branch will be forthcoming. But for now, the true miracle is happening. I’m going to bed at only 0300 in order to try and get away from the itching sensation that has enveloped my body.

I had poison ivy so bad once, my eyes swelled shut. I had to go on steriods. I know your pain. Hopefully its not EVERYwhere. Feel better

Ugh. I’ve never had poison ivy. Actually I don’t think I can get it. Something about not being allergic to whatever it is that causes the rash. The majority of the population is allergic, so I count myself lucky that I’m a freak.

Renee, I took a few photos yesterday and I’m glad I did, because the difference between even just then and today is crazy. My right eye is almost swollen shut, but my left eye is fine. My wrists and arms are covered in it and my neck is starting to outbreak from it. Oh yeah, and my hips and ankles. Basically everywhere my sweatshirt or jeans didn’t cover as I moved around.

And Jaime, you are so damn lucky. I’ve spent a good 2 hours in the past few days reading up on it and you most certainly are in the minority. You freak

Yikes. I hope it clears up soon. I’ve never had to deal with poison ivy, but it definitely looks like it would be a bitch to deal with.

i got poison ivy so badly one time when i was little that i had to stay home from school for like three days or something. any way, i haven’t gotten it since then, so maybe you’ll develop an immunity
