I went to UMaine and we were co-ed, and mixed from freshman - seniors. I guess they realize there's not that much else to do up there so they better make the opposite sex readily available!! I want to hear about the weather. I'm sitting at my desk looking outside and it's pouring rain here and it's COLD. Yes, vacation is coming up in less than 3 weeks for me, but I need to hear about the beautiful weather!! That’s interesting about the non-co-ed dorms at USC. I also had my own room. Our halls were set up like the British "house system". It sounds like that's the model in Newcastle as well. We didn't share bathroom facilities. Here in the US it's usually a city ordinance that you have to have separate ones--though I know Princeton does not. Everyone knows we're prudes here in US anyway!
