The sky is falling!

All hell is breaking loose here in this insect-infested apartment I call “home”. First my glove almost sends me to an early grave as it falls apart and breaks, which was followed in 24 hours by my Internet crashing for 23 of them, my cable going out for 12 of them, my TV deciding that it no longer enjoys showing color, my cellphone deciding to stop working at all inside my entire apartment, realizing that I have enough money to last me 5 (maybe 6) more days before I go into the red, and possibly worst of all, my computer crashing (and staying crashed) for no aparent reason.

If anybody has ever gotten the problem “Explorer has caused a problem in WININET.DLL” and fixed it, please drop me a line. My IE will load, but when you try to go to any page, it freezes and gives me that error. I got on my laptop and downloaded the DLL file and saved it to a disk, but my desktop won’t allow me to overright it since it says that windows is using it. I’ve done a full virus scan, checked for any updates from microsoft, checked microsoft’s help database, and googled my brains out looking for a solution. And the worst fucking thing is that I JUST FORMATTED IT! There is no reason for there to be any errors on the fucking thing. I wiped that baby clean a few weeks ago and haven’t loaded anything beyond a few basic programs and my songs on it.

However, the operation was successful. After 30 minutes of debating over which leather was of higher quality and closest to her original color followed by an hour of carefully removing the scared and damaged lace and restitching her up, I can safely say that she will be making a full and healthy recovery. As a get-well-soon present, I bought her some new glove oil and treated her to a nice bath and massage and tucked her in for the night last night.

Too bad I still can’t catch worth a shit. Alright, maybe that isn’t quite true, but after tonight, I saw my fielding percentage drop to a horrible .853 after committing my first error of the season on a routine fly-ball as I was running back to my right. There really was no excuss for not catching that ball and I beat myself up for the rest of the night, especially since it led to a solo inside the park homerun. Not that that really mattered though, since we ended up losing 7-2. Hell, technically we lost be forfeit since we didn’t have 3 girls show up, but that is a whole different story. My batting average dropped to .400 after I went 1-3 with two more shitty pop-ups. I swear, I cannot hit a ground ball to save my life. And some of the players on my team need a good crash course in the rules and fundamentals of baseball because it’s physically painful to watch some of our plays. Seriously, my stomach hurts sometimes after watching them.

And last, but certainly not least, I have three exams this week, two of which I have yet to start studying for, and two novels that will be on the exams that I have yet to crack the cover.

This weekend has blown.
