Santorum was quite off base--he said that EVERY society since the beginning of man promoted (insert, the Judeo-Christian conception of) marriage, I'm no expert, but this sounds way too convenient to be true, and he is wrong on at least one example that I know of, the Spartans, who ironically enough are supposed to be part of the cornerstone of our civilization--Western, that is, not just American. And maybe these guys think if they repeat over and over again that gay marriage will undermine regular marriage--it seems pretty damn near completely dug under already if you ask me--then magically it'll come true. This whole debate is ludicrous, and the idea of putting an amendment in the constitiution for it--there are so many other things that are wrong with this country that should precede gay marriage that it's ridiculous, as in John Ashcroft and his crazy snooping ass. I wonder about that son of a bitch from time to time. I don't personally care to be a homosexual or anything, but if they want to get together, I'm not going to fight them. I don't like the whole flamboyant, I'm going to flash it in your face attitude some have, but there are lots of things I don't like which are perfectly legal. This is why I hate having to vote Republican though. I vote Libertarian where I can, but it's like throwing your vote away. I'd like the government out of my house and my wallet if that's at all possible.
