Testing, 1, 2, CSS?

October 31st, 2002 at 12:01 am

Well, I got the CSS set up to what I want…I think….I know I’ll end up changing it within a week, but oh well. I started working on my Contact and Funny sections. They are still pretty much in the infancy stages, but they are coming along and should have them finished by tonight. Next will be the Bio and Site Information and by the end of this weekend, I should have the Beliefs section up. Fun stuff!

Don’t adjust your screens.

Don’t adjust your computer screen

If you see things changing while you are here at the site or if it looks like total shit, it’s probably me sitting here trying to fool around with things and giving them a test =) Hang with me here.

Awesome weekend =)

What a weekend…

I don’t think words can describe the weekend I just had. Really. It was easily one of the best weekends my memory can come up with. Jessica (my girlfriend of the past 2 1/2 years) had been taking a break for a month or so. We thought it would be a good idea to spend some time together this weekend, so she picked me up on her way home and let me tell you it was AMAZING! It felt just so perfect to be with her and do things with her again. It just really feels wonderful to be loved so much by somebody…

The World Series ended last night with a game 7 victory by the Anaheim Angels. Yeah, who the hell picked them to win it all? I saw them being a team that would finish 2nd for the Wild Card this year, but I never thought they would win it all. But needless to say, they damn well earned it. I’ve never seen a team stay as hot as they did for a whole month and that includes the 20 game win streak Athletics from this year. Anaheim beat the “dynasty” of our generation, then a team that was a complete duplicate of themselves, and then a team with the most underrated pitching staffs in the game. Who more could they have beaten to prove themselves? They truely were a fun team to watch. They had some amazing years by their rookies though, so in all honesty, I doubt they will be able to repeat their success again next year if history tells us anything. All you have to do is take a look at my Mariners. The 2001 Mariners had a team full of players having career years and then 2002 they have a damn solid team that wins 93 games, but missed the playoffs. 93 games gets you in the playoffs any other year but 2002. What a funny game baseball is….

Let me give a little word of advice to anybody out there that is thinking of starting their own web-site. The weeks before and of mid-terms are not the best time to open it up. The last 3 weeks have been a major Bitch for me, so as you can see, not a damn thing has changed on this site. But FINALLY, I’ve been able to get through it all and I have plenty of free time on my hand for another few weeks until finals, and then I’m free for a few months! =) I’m gonna be updating this site muchisimo this week, so be sure to check it out. Aight, it’s time for an hour or so of video games and then bed.

Beer Inning

October 24th, 2002 at 12:00 am

Rule #12. Teeth are good for one thing. Chewing food and only food.

A woman was recently arrested for biting her husband over 20 times since he wouldn’t have sex with her, which resulted in his death. Gee, I wonder why he refused! Aside from the fact that he was practically already on life support and only a good scare away from Death himself, it’s pretty clear why he refused. We can only imagine what else she gnawed on during sex. Teeth + sex = no more sex.

Well, today I got not a damn thing done. Ah wait wait, I take that back. I downloaded a CLASSIC episode of The Simpsons. It’s the one where Mr. Burns hires all the Major League Baseball players for his softball team.

Ref: “Let’s go over the ground rules. You can’t leave first until you chug a beer. Any man scoring has to chug a beer. You have to chug a beer at the top of every odd numbered innings. Oh and 4th inning is the beer inning.”
Chief Wiggum: “HEY! We know how to play softball!”

HAHAHAHAHAHA Oh….Simpsons…..easily the best show of our generation. Well I am off to bed. It’s only 4 AM, so I’m actually getting to bed a little early tonight. I’m gonna be busy all day tomorrow studying for my last exam and then Friday I’m going home to spend some time with Jess =) But I’ll be sure to post some time over the weekend. And hopefully by next weekend I’ll have those links over there working. I will leave you all with yet another great Simpsons quote.

Bart: “Wow. How many homeruns are you gonna hit?”
Homer: “Let’s see. We play 30 games. 10 at bats a game…..3,000!”

Hell week is almost over

October 22nd, 2002 at 12:00 am

Damn I feel good right now. When I walked out of my class at 4:45 today, I looked around and realized that I only had one damn exam left this week and that one isn’t until Friday, so I won’t start working on that until tomorrow. So tonight, I get to sit back and finally relax and DAMN that felt good. I might even have some time tonight to actually update some of those links over there =) I went food shopping today too, so I finally have some fucking food. I am at the moment eating chips & salsa, a bowl of cereal, and an apple…I always buy food and then eat it real quick. Oh well. I might as well enjoy it while I have it! Well I am off to watch the World Series and do a shit load of nothing…I’ve earned it.

Fall Break is over.

October 17th, 2002 at 12:00 am

Well, Fall Break has come and gone and now Hell Week has officially begun. Starting tomorrow, I have 5 exams, 2 essays, and 2 projects due within the next week. Sounds like fun, eh?! I was in the library for a good 4 hours today just typing up one of the essays due tomorrow. You can always tell when mid terms and exams are because the library i spacked with people trying to study / cram. School sucks =)

My Fall Break was pretty good overall. We played football again on Monday and had about a 7 on 7 game, which was pretty good. I didn’t do nearly enough of my homework, but I got to spend some good ole’ quality time with the younger siblings which is always fun. We go the old SNES working and we found some old sports games from the early 90′s….wow, I can’t believe how far video games have come since then. We’ve gone from football games where there was only 10 plays you could call to games where you can pick the nose hair from your coach if you want to. Oh well, it was a fun few days to relax before all this damn work.

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!

October 12th, 2002 at 12:00 am

Haha, an old friend of mine used to scream that every time we played football using his “announcer” voice. Good times. I’m home for Fall Break now and it’s pretty nice to be here. I get to see the whole family and that’s always nice. We had a “huge” football game planned for today but when we got out there, everybody but 6 of us had pussed out and didn’t show. Hell, we didn’t need them. It was easily the best 3 on 3 game I’ve ever played and this was with 2 of the people being my little brothers. Actually, Tommy held his own since he is already 215 pounds and 6 feet, 3 inches tall….did I mention HE IS IN THE 8TH GRADE!!!! Yeah, I call him an orge. I am fucking dreading the day that he can kick my ass because I know it is coming soon. Clay (my other bro) came out with us and while he may be small, he was the perfect weapon =) Nobody saw him coming.

I should be doing my homework now. In the span of 8 days, I have 5 mid-terms, 2 essays, and a group project due and let’s all guess how much I have done….that’s right junior, not a damn thing. I have however mastered the art of stuffing 25 grapes in my mouth…ahh, if only I could get graded on the useless things that I know how to do. I’m still holding strong though. I swear, they will one day save my life. You heard it here first folks.

Well, this Philosophy paper is screaming my name. Actually, it’s screaming at me since the only thing I have ON IT is my name. Say a prayer for me folks, I’m gonna need it…

Who would have guessed?

October 9th, 2002 at 12:00 am

So, here I am eating my daily sandwich, looking through ESPN when it finally hits me. The Minnesota Twins and Anaheim Angels are battling it out for the American League spot in the World Series. Think about that. Quick, name one player on the Angels. You can’t, can you? Name the manager of the Twins. Yep, didn’t think so. And it’s not just your everyday fan who doesn’t know these things, most “baseball fans” have no clue. And while I did pick the Twins to win their division and Anaheim to be the “Surprise Team” this year, I never imagined them in the ALCS. But damn, these two teams are a fucking blast to watch. They both know that their teams are full of players going through career years and that next year they won’t be as lucky, so they are playing as if their lives depended on it. It has been some years since I have seen such intensity and pure feeling being played out on the field and dear lord it is fun to watch.

And did anybody else notice that all 4 of the teams with homefield advantage lost? Guess it shows that homefield guarntees you two things. Jack and Shit.

Post…Baleted!

October 8th, 2002 at 12:00 am

Arg, I just typed up a pretty long post and GreyMatter deleted it……I gotta run to class though, so I’ll re-type it later on tonight. Hope everybody is having a great day!

What a day.

October 6th, 2002 at 12:00 am

Well, today was easily one of the best days I have had in recent memory. Of course, the thing that made it wonderful was spending it with Jessica. She had told me that she would be in town a week or so ago and we decided to have a little picnic and just spend some time together. I had been looking forward to it since we planned it and when today finally rolled around, it was better than I could have imagined. It was perfect just talking with her and re-connecting like we once used to be a while ago. It had been a while since we actually had “talked” and it just felt wonderful. We talked about some important things that we had sorta danced around for a while, but we also were relaxed around each other and honestly, words can’t explain how great I felt today. I love her more than anything else and I know we have a lot of things to work through, but it still is a wonderful feeling knowing that she will always be in my life, no matter what.
